It's on Shap Fell where the M6 divides at the top of a quarry ... and a road runs between the carriageways.
RegE & brother Roger got the answer correct but Roger had the slight edge by supplying the name of it - Scout Road.

Somehow managed to forget to upload today's route to the gps device. However, reverted to Rob's trusty map reading.

Past triffid like rows of giant hogweed unfurling their umbrels alongside the banks of the Clyde as we meandered our way into Glasgow.

Caught up the twenty year old cyclists again, this time with mended spokes.

... on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond (scones are being deep fried as I write - and the cream has just been squirted from a can)
Only about 6 more miles today.

Another 70 miles plus day but lots of flat stuff acoss Glasgow on a remarkably well signed (and surfaced)National Cycle Network route.
Some hard work tomorrow from here to Fort William - but, hey I've ridden that same route in other direction so it's doable.
Off to eat in minute - expecting the full deep-fried experience :-))

Saw the Ride across Britain lot noticed none of them had luggage!
Midges have appeared must > 12mph as they can't fly faster.
650 miles so far and still haven't used the inner chain ring. Let's see what the Scottish hills will be like.

RegE has e-mailed with a Grid Ref - can't check as I have posted the volume of our route book home. [Reg - you have a message, a specific place/name will improve your chances in the event of a tie break being required]

BTW - the time stamp on these messages is one hour earlier than it actually is.
